Olive Yang Munguia

Meet my new dog Olive. She fell on my lap one weekend while I was taking Michelle's dog out. As I stood outside holding Coco's leash, an older hispanic couple pulled up in a van and asked if I knew someone in the neighborhood that owned a black and white puppy. I didn't, and they went on telling me how they found this puppy roaming the streets. They already have two big dogs so without room for a third, they had no choice but to take the puppy to the pound.. This was unacceptable to me. I took one look at the puppy and fell in love, which was a relief to them as well. Needless to say, I kept her. And she's been tagging along with me everywhere I go. She's almost 4 months old and she knows how to sit, lay down, play dead, shake paw, and she even falls down when you fake-shoot her. She's my best friend. My buddy.

Photojournalism Workshop

I haven't posted anything about me in a while because I was waiting to post something worth telling about. Well after about 9 months of holding my camera around my neck like a mother holds a baby in the womb, I taught my first workshop. Thanks to the one and only Mike McLean, who probably could have done it himself if he had to, but asked me to help him with it instead. It was only a 3-day workshop but that group of teens we got to teach were great. I really hope I get to see them all again next year.. Sed I didn't get a chance to say bye to you buddy, but I hope the best for you. You have the perfect attitude and potential to be a great photographer! Taylor you too bud. Never stop climbing things! Julia, you really do have a natural eye for photos. So whatever you do in life, keep shooting. That goes to ALL of you!! And if you all are reading this, TAKE A LOT OF PHOTOS!!!!!! on MANUAL!!!!!! Enjoy your summer!
